Following Jesus

Standing in the Gap
God’s grace does not stop the moment we accept Jesus. That indeed is the beginning of an exciting adventure. Jesus’ call to us as the church is to help people continue to surrender to God’s Spirit as he impacts their lives. As we follow Jesus it is impossible for us not to be personally changed by his power. If we are his followers we should learn to love what he loves, and his ways should be reflected in our lifestyle and relationships.
At the core of C3’s strategy is our commitment to seeing lives changed through intentional discipleship. We work to help our people commit to what it means to be a Jesus follower in this urban setting. Our discipleship happens one on one in mentoring relationships using our own in-house discipleship materials, in the teaching that is given through our Scripture-based messages during our services, and primarily through the relationships that are built in the life application focused discussion groups we call CONTEXT GROUPS.
God is raising up his people to accomplish his work in this neighborhood! As the prophet Ezekiel sees when looking over a valley filled with bones: ...and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet– a vast army. (NIV Ezekiel 37:10b)
