C3 is a growing network of people committed to becoming more like Jesus and helping others discover and follow him.

Special Weekly Activities

Children's Church: Meets Sundays at 2:30PM during Pastor Jon's message at the Connection worship service. Led by experienced and trained volunteer staff who have undergone a background check. This is a safe and fun place for kids of all ages to learn about Jesus and the Bible. Currently using exciting multi-aged cirriculum from LIFEWAY publishers. A parent-led nursery is also available for toddlers and infants.

Context Groups

A network that seeks to put today's life in perspective. Context groups are the core of C3. These groups offer great opportunities to meet and get to know people. They are also a great chance to meet and get to know God in an atmosphere that is both laid-back and real. This is because these groups offer times of socializing, seeking God in prayer for needs in the group, and discussing (not a lecture) how the Scriptures apply to our lives in this complex world.

Belmont Undead Group: Tuesdays 8:30PM, 836 W Aldine (coffeehouse), (773) 276 - 5099, Led by Dave Verdin. Hard core, goth, punk ... this is a group for the alternative sub-cultures. They host an occasional concert or party at the church. Expect a laid-back atmosphere, cool music, coffee, and very complicated questions.

Lincoln Park Group: Wednesdays 7:30 PM, 815 W. Lill Street, (773) 857 - 2742. Led by Jon Pennington. This is an emerging group of christians from the Lincoln Park area of Chicago. They host an occasional book discussion event at the BORDERS book store on the corner of Clark & Diversey. Be prepared for an interesting, lively, and intellectual discussion, and some terrific food!

Tangents: Thursdays 8:30 PM, 836 W. Aldine Ave. It is led by Caleb Roberts (caleb.d.roberts@moody.edu) and is open to anyone who is curious about how to apply the scriptures to their everyday lives.

Safe Haven Group: Saturdays 8:30 PM, 836 W. Aldine Ave. It is led by Steven Darst (dar5819@gmail.com) and is for homeless and "at-risk" youth who attend our Safe Haven Drop-in Meal.
